You can find us on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons for Club Sessions and Tuesday and Thursday evenings, in the tennis season, for South and Mid Cheshire League matches at the Boothbed Lane Playing Field, Boothbed Lane, Goostrey, CW4 8LP.

If you are interested in playing tennis, whether social or competitive, come and join the members of Goostrey Tennis Club on a Wednesday evening at Boothbed Lane from 18.00. Saturday afternoon at 2.00p.m.Friday afternoon at 2.00p.m. You will be very welcome.

The sports facilities on Boothbed Lane are owned and managed on behalf of the Goostrey Community by the Goostrey Village Hall & Playing Fields Foundation (the VHPFF), a Charitable Trust. Membership of the VHPFF is a pre-requisite of joining any of the affiliated sports organisations based at Boothbed Lane. LEAGUE PROMOTION FOR SUCCESSFUL GOOSTREY MEN'S TENNIS TEAM

The Men's A team fromGoostrey has been promoted from 4th to 2nd division for the upcoming Winter League following a highly successful 12 months of competing.
This marks a 'first' for Goostrey Tennis club- their highest divisional placing in 23 years, since joining the South & Mid-Cheshire League in 1997.
Having won both last winter's and this spring league they were well placed at the start of the recent summer season for League matches. As they then came second in the summer league, competing against top teams, they were promoted up two divisions.
Accolades over the past 12 months also include winning the Winter league Knock-out Trophy.

Besides League Competitive tennis, Goostrey Tennis club also offers social tennis on Wednesday Evenings ,Friday and Saturday afternoons, with frequent American Tournaments for all ages and abilities, plus a regular programme of junior coaching.

We have ladies and men's teams competing in the Slazenger South & Mid Cheshire Tennis Leagues.

Tennis Trophies presented to winners in Goostrey Open
Goostrey Tennis Club Honorary Life member Roger Rushton was guest of honour at the clubs Annual General meeting and Awards Presentation recently.Following the AGM March 11th 2020 which was well- attended. Roger presented trophies to tennis players who won awards in the Goostrey Open 2019.
Goostrey Tennis club Chairman Mike Marshall said that Goostrey Tennis Club should be proud of its efforts as small Cheshire club of less than 50 members, compared to other local villages ,some of whom have several hundred members in their tennis club.
